There are as many ideas of what the Church is supposed to be as there are people attending. For most people outside the Church, it is an irrelevant and outdated institution. Who has Jesus called us to be, and how can we have the kind of impact on the world that he said we would have? In this series, we will unpack our church’s mission as the apostle Peter describes it in I Peter 2:9-10.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
